FlexEl's Move to State of the Art Facility Featured in Press Release

FlexEl was featured in a news release regarding its move to a 10,000 square foot research and manufacturing facility in College Park, MD.  We are excited to be the first company to move into the Innovation District, which aims to create an environment for start- up companies born out of the University of Maryland’s innovation programs to grow to the next level.

CEO Bob Proctor said “The neat thing about the innovation district is, that prior to its existence, you would have to leave College Park to get the platform for continued growth that you would want from a facility and location perspective. Then you would have to give up your relationship with the university, and the broader set of resources that are there to support companies.  We plan to move, grow, scale, enjoy commercial success and maintain the ability to be a part of the fabric of the university.   The move to the Innovation district also enables us to continue leveraging the incredible technology in labs at the university. We have come to rely on the extensive diagnostic and analytical capabilities, which the University has acquired over several years and is worth millions of dollars. It allows us to impress clients.  We can provide all of the capabilities of a company a few times bigger than us because we have access to those facilities.”  The move is expected in the Fall of 2015.  For information regarding the press release and Flexel’s move please visit the following links.
